**Introduction** The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an international standardized English test jointly managed by the British Council, IDP and Cambridge English. It has three main types: Academic, General Training and tests for UKVI (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration). This course will mainly focus on the Academic test, which is the English proficiency assessment criteria for university admission in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries. The Academic IELTS consists of four papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. I obtained an overall band of 8.0 for this test in 2007, and have been teaching people English since.
